Love Hurts

“One title in 2007, and eighteen years of renaming the team instead of fixing it.”

Twenty-one seasons, one championship, and a naming convention that reads like a man working through something. He was Green Hills 4 Life until 2007 — when he actually won the thing — then became Jack Goff, Jaclyn Goff, Jared Jack Goff, Wentzylvania Goff, Goff & Goff LLC, Yoshi, Cobra Ky-ler Murray, and the Jared Goff Fan Club. Five podiums in 20 redraft years and a 0.46 average finish percentile: the definition of hovering. The Yahoo era ended with 10th and 11th place finishes, so the dynasty pivot wasn't a strategy, it was witness protection.

2025: 5-9, Ninth Place, and a Roster Built Entirely Out of Backup Plans

After an 8-6 debut good for fifth in 2024, Goffstown,USA responded by going 5-9 and sliding to ninth — a three-win faceplant on 1,675.03 points, 88 fewer than the year before. He beat Seperation of Bowers three times out of four and then went 1-2 against Come Backy Irving, 1-2 against Joe's Fucking Toe, and 1-2 against Rome wasntbuiltn Odunze, which is a very specific way to lose: dominate one guy, get handled by everyone else in matching fashion. The roster explains plenty. Three quarterbacks. Six running backs, none of whom you'd start with confidence. Eleven wide receivers, one of whom — Ja'Lynn Polk — is listed with no NFL team at all. And Kyle Pitts, still rostered, still a nightly promise from a decade ago. Depth isn't a strategy when none of it is good.
